War in Ukraine

Ukraine is reconstructing war-damaged Kyiv suburbs and other cities regained from the Russian invaders - even as the war still rages on. This creates a risk of renovated infrastructure being destroyed. But the country is determined to exude the confidence that the war will inevitably be won.
Kyiv is so well protected by anti-missile defences that its residents have become rather complacent. An air raid siren wails and we rush deep down into a metro station for shelter. But many commuters are casually coming out instead.
