My vote is magical, it will increase all of these votes inside, Zuma jokes

Nkandla – It was family affair as President Jacob Zuma voted at the Ntolwane Primary School in Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal, on Wednesday.

Zuma’s arrival was welcomed with ululation. People looked on as the ANC president’s convoy made its way to the voting station. The vehicles, which were tailing each other, could be seen leaving the homestead and finally arriving at the school.

When Zuma arrived in Ward 14 at around 10:00, the young and the old ululated and sang his praises.

Zuma was accompanied by his wives, Tobeka Madiba-Zuma, Bongi Ngema-Zuma and Sizakele maKhumalo-Zuma, and one of his daughters.

Magical vote

His brother, Michael, had voted at the same voting station earlier on Wednesday morning and his son Edward and daughter Msholozi were also seen earlier in the vicinity.

When the president arrived, he joined other residents in the queue and was seen chatting away with them.

After producing his identity document, he proceeded to another queue that led inside to the voting station, where he went through the process, before casting his vote and placing his three papers in the ballot box.

“My vote is magical, it will increase all of these votes inside,” joked Zuma.

After voting Zuma went back outside and filled in some paperwork before addressing the media.
