In latest dust-up, Berlusconi gets broken nose/teeth, not black eye this time

Just as Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi was signing autographs at the end of a rally in his support, an assailant threw a minature statuette of Milan's famous Duomo, or cathedral, at the 73-year old leader, striking him in the face and giving him a broken nose and bloodied mouth that required stitches.  This physical attack comes on top of Berlusconi's sex scandals, divorce case and corruption trials - all being very publicly played out in the media. According to the doctors, Berlusconi had a small fracture of the nose, two broken teeth and soft tissue injuries around the mouth. Berlusconi spent the night in hospital as a precaution. The attacker, Massimo Tartaglia, has no criminal record but has suffered mental problems in the past. For more, read the AP
